We're very pleased to share that Ghada Almashaqbeh has joined the NuCypher research team!
Ghada completed her PhD in Computer Science from Columbia University in Spring 2019, where she was a member of the Cryptography Lab and the Data Science Institute. Her research interests cover cryptography, security, privacy, and distributed systems and, prior to NuCypher, she was a Research Scientist at CacheCash (the topic of her PhD thesis), a startup building a fully distributed, cryptocurrency-powered content delivery network (CDN) service.
Since joining NuCypher, Ghada has fearlessly tackled some of our most challenging open research questions. Her work on the protocol design, threat modeling, and economics and payment models at CacheCash, and her research expertise in both theory and applied cryptography have proven especially relevant in improving how the NuCypher protocol enforces node availability.
We couldn't be happier to welcome Ghada to the team and we're excited for her future contributions!
