CASI Phase 4 Tasks

Overview

Phase 4 will be another trial run of the WorkLock token distribution mechanism with some tweaks and improvements based on our learnings from Phase 3. Once again, you'll contribute Goerli ETH (goETH) in exchange for  stake-locked Goerli NU (goNU) tokens which you can use to run a node and recover your escrowed goETH.

Timeline

Phase 4 begins on March 25 at 00:00 UTC. The contribution phase lasts until March 31 at 23:59 UTC, followed by a one day cancellation window (don't cancel or you won't be able to finish the tasks!). Once the claim period opens, you'll have until April 6 at 23:59 (which is when Phase 4 ends) to do at least one period of work and refund some of your escrowed goETH.

Tasks

Important: Make sure to use the new gemini network! Use the existing Staker address with which you've been participating in CASI!
You'll need to follow the WorkLock guide to complete the tasks as well as leverage your knowledge from Phases 1 and 2.

1. Familiarize yourself with the new WorkLock model described in the guide and here.
2. Upgrade your nucypher installation to the latest version
3. Using the gemini network (--network gemini), contribute/bid  any amount of goETH greater than or equal to the minimum contribution of 0.04 goETH to the WorkLock during the  contribution period. You can get goETH here:  https://goerli-faucet.slock.it/.‌
4. Once the contribution and cancellation periods end, claiming will become available. claim  your NU and bond it to an Ursula worker node (Note: you won't be able to run a gemini Worker until the WorkLock claiming period begins and the network gets activated).
5. ⏳ Keep the worker node online and wait at least two periods... ⏳
6. Once you've done some work reclaim/refund a portion of your escrowed goETH
